The Pan-STARRS1 Medium-deep Survey: Star Formation Quenching in Group and Cluster Environments
Top: The quiescent fraction from the radial (solid lines) and density (dashed lines) contribution. Three stellar mass ranges are plotted: 10.110.9 (gold). Bottom: The excess of the quiescent fraction (Δ) from the radial (solid lines) and density (dashed lines) contribution relative to the fraction from the field. For less massive galaxies, the Δ in groups or clusters has a radial gradient, implying that the location of the less massive galaxies in their parent halo has an additional effect on their star formation quenching.
