Senior Electronic Engineer Position in ASIAA

Job Description

The ASIAA Instrumentation group is looking for ONE (1) senior electronic engineer to research and develop software and hardware systems using field programmable gate arrays (FPGA).

Educational Background

The applicants must have obtained their BS, BSc, or BEng or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, information technology, communication engineering, automatic engineering, or related fields.

Professional Experience

To qualify for the position, the applicants need at least 10 years of experience in digital circuit design, at least 5 years in FPGA-related engineering work, and have worked as research and development engineers in academic research institutes for more than 10 years. The applicants should have the following skills and capabilities.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Concurrent knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink, VHDL, Xilinx FPGA tools, C, C++.
  2. Professional and up-to-date knowledgeable with digital circuitry theory and its applications.
  3. Proficient in hardware description languages, such as VHDL and Verilog, and digital circuitry design and skills.
  4. Proficient in theory and usages of digital signal process
  5. Possess good English reading, writing, and oral communication skills and can communicate and collaborate effectively with domestic and foreign team members. Able to discuss and communicate with foreign colleagues and scholars.

Other Requirements

  1. Have a track record of publishing research results at international conferences.
  2. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research and have experience cooperating with a team of colleagues of the same mind.
  3. Willing to adhere to health, safety, environmental, and security measures at ASIAA. In close consultation with the ASIAA management, and ensures that health and safety measures are up-to-date and consistent with best practices. Works closely with principal investigators to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and security policies and any relevant government and/or ASIAA regulations.
  4. Willing to practice a positive and engaging working style that emphasizes open, transparent, and clear communication. Coaches and counsels junior technical members and encourages a supportive team-based approach to planning and implementation, introducing and readjusting operations to meet strategic plan initiatives, priorities, and/or changing needs.
  5. Willing to exercise a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Relates well to people from varied backgrounds and situations; is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, disabilities, and other individual differences. Complies with all laws, regulations, and agency policies regarding treating and accepting all individuals and protecting civil rights.
