| These
pictures demostrate the simulations of 3 kpc
arm of the Milky Way. It shows that the spiral
waves generated by outer Lindblad resonance
(OLR) which is located at 3 kpc is tight and
the other spiral waves generated by inner
Lindblad resonance (ILR) is more open. This
result confirms the spiral density wave theory.
Furthermore, the bar-spiral structure is observed
in the central region of the Milky Way. |
