Image simulation of black hole shadow and jet
The black hole shadow image (the bright circle) resulting from a relativistic jet (the luminous u-shape region) launched near the event horizon.
Modeled image of the jet synchrotron emission observed at 230GHz. This image is computed by performing ray-tracing and general relativistic radiative transfer (GRRT) on a general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) jet model, which gives the information of the plasma motion along magnetic field lines attached onto black hole event horizon. The dimensionless spin parameter is 0.92 and the inclination angle is 20 degree.
