Research Interests

Galaxy Formation and evolution: I am interested in studying space density evolution and kinematic properties of galaxy mergers from 0 < z < 1 in order to further understand the evolution trends of different types of mergers and the details of galactic color transformations. Meanwhile, it is very interesting to study star formation histories of resolved stellar populations in nearby galaxy mergers. Infrared Instrumentation: Intergal field Spectrographs. I am interested various astronomical instruments, particularly in infrared integral field spectrographs that can provide much efficient observations of galaxy mergers or extended objects.
