天文儀器安裝與測試

本所一直以來專注於發展最新的儀器技術來推動下一代望遠鏡及儀器。

在天文所的第一個十年,本所努力建立一個電波天文儀器的團隊。我們在毫米波和次毫米波技術的發展讓次毫米波陣列(SMA),李遠哲陣列望遠鏡(YTLA, formerly AMiBA)和阿塔卡瑪大型毫米及次毫米波陣列計畫得以成功。本所技術團隊目前已擁有廣泛研發製造能力包括超導混頻元件和超導量子干涉元件晶片,單晶微波積體電路,中頻電子技術,低溫技術,相關器,次毫米波天線,碳纖維反射鏡面和控制軟體等。

在我們的第二個十年,本所開始發展可見光/紅外線儀器團隊。團隊推動了中美掩星計畫和加法夏望遠鏡上的廣角紅外線相機計畫。 在廣角紅外線相機計畫合作成功帶給我們在陣列測試和電子控制技術的光學/紅外線核心專長的經驗。有了這樣的專業知識,我們繼續和大型望遠鏡團隊合作,包括加法夏望遠鏡上的近紅外線偏光光譜儀 SPIROU及 Subaru 望遠鏡上的廣角可見光相機 Hyper SuprimeCam 和光譜儀 Prime Focus Spectrometer 等先進的儀器項目。

本所儀器研發包括接收器技術的研發,微波元件的設計和組裝,超導元件的研發,和可見光/紅外線陣列偵測器的研發。本所將繼續擴大在各個領域儀器研發團隊並以提高偵測靈敏度為目標。
