Research Interests

My research interests are mainly in research and development (R&D) of novel scientific instrumentation, which involves studying the system design methodology, modal analysis, manufacture technology, and testing analysis correlation of design. My work has been mainly involved in heterodyne detection project at frequencies between 90 GHz and 690 GHz with the critical components cooled in a cryogenic chamber down to 4 K. Currently, I am expanding my interests to different fields, such as sub-mm wavelength receiver integration and performance verifications. As the instrumentation for radio astronomy is pushing toward better resolution for desired detection, I am pursuing to utilize Taiwanese astronomical hardware capability for improving the Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) observation. I am also pursuing the technology of Q-band receiver system for its applications in ALMA project. I am currently working on introduce project management knowledge onto Academy research functional teams to helps on identify the problems, risk assessment and processes the improvement.
