Search for two software developers for the ACDC (ASIAA CASA Development Center)

ASIAA CASA Development Center (ACDC) is searching for two developers with enthusiasm and interests in astronomy to join our team. Please check https://cartavis.org to see what we are actively working on!

The Position Requirements (not necessary to fulfill all)

  • experience with C/C++
  • experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • experience with Python
  • experience with software building (eg make/cmake, npm)
  • experience with software packaging (eg deb, rpm, electronjs, AppImage)
  • experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment
  • experience with Github action
  • experience with shell script (eg bash)
  • good understanding of Linux operation system
  • efficient communication in English and Chinese
  • experience with software testing frameworks (eg, jest, robotframework, pytest)
  • Required Education

    Applicants can be of any nationality, and must have obtained their BS, BSc or BEng or equivalent degree in Information Technology related fields. For applicants who do not hold citizenship of Taiwan (the Republic of China), an MS, MSc, MEng equivalent or higher academic degree is mandatory.

    Salary and Benefit

    A competitive salary ***based on education and experience*** will be offered.
    The "minimum" starting salary:
    • Bachelor's degree entry level salary: NT$37,240/per month
    • Master’s degree entry level salary: NT$43,624/per month
    The "actual" starting salary is highly negotiable if the applicants are experienced in programming.
    The year-end bonus is 1.5 months.
