Research Interests

  • Instrument Software Engineering
  • Automation system
  • Digital signal processing
  • High Energy Physics

My jobs are mainly related to instrument control software. I am interested in both computer programming and circuit design since I became a freshman in the department of electrical engineer. After I got bachelor’s degree, I became a student of Physic department and tried to study the law of the universe. My Ph.D. thesis is related to quantum field theory.

I joined TAOS project immediately after I graduated. In the first few years, I worked on scientific simulation and theoretical prediction for this project, for example, the diffraction pattern of occultation events. At this period, I also learned programming skills for controlling robotic telescopes and implemented the automatic scheduler for TAOS observation. It took a lot of effort to make this system operate automatically with minimum human intervention. Our project has started to collect data from 2005. At this, my responsibility for TAOS is to maintain daily observation and improve the observation system.

Starting from 2013, I joined Subaru PFS project. My job is to implement the control software for metrology camera, six AG cameras, fiber viewing camera and field center camera. I also lead a team in IAA for developing fiber positioning software for accurate positioning of ~2400 fibers which locate in the prime focus of Subaru telescope.
